Welcome to Jennerstown Speedway
Jennerstown Speedway Complex is a premier motorsports venue located in the scenic Laurel Highlands of Western Pennsylvania, at the intersection of Route 30 and Route 985 in Somerset County. With a rich heritage and a passion for racing, we are proud to be one of the oldest short-track facilities in the United States.
Our track is a .522-mile polymer-based asphalt oval, featuring a 550-foot front stretch banked at 6º and 700-foot turns banked at 9º. We host thrilling Saturday night racing from May through September, offering fun, fast-paced entertainment for fans of all ages. Our weekly divisions include: 1. Late Models; 2. Modifieds, 3. Street Stocks, 4. Chargers, 5. Fast ‘N Furious 4’s.
Special events bring even more excitement with appearances by the ISMA Super Modifieds, SuperCup Stock Car Series, and Enduro races.
At Jennerstown Speedway, we’re dedicated to fun, affordable, family entertainment. Our 6 PM start time allows families—especially young fans—to enjoy the full experience. After every race night, fans are invited into the pits to meet drivers and see the cars up close, making memories that last a lifetime.
A Legacy of Racing Excellence Since the 1920s
Jennerstown Speedway’s story began in the late 1920s as a flat half-mile dirt track known as the Jenners Fairgrounds. Throughout the decades, the track evolved with the sport—from hosting big car races in the 1930s to dirt late models and sprint cars in the 1960s and ’70s. Legendary drivers such as Butch Gardner, Fuzzy Rubritz, and Lou Blaney helped build the track’s reputation.
In 1987, under the vision of Piney Lasky, the track was paved and modernized, ushering in a new era of asphalt racing. Over the years, the Speedway has seen many owners, champions, and upgrades—including a major repaving in 2004.
After a brief hiatus from 2008 to 2013, the Speedway roared back to life in 2014 and continues to thrive under the ownership of John Morocco, Richard Pologruto, and Larry Hemminger since 2019.
